Arrive via boat to Gunsi village, where you’ll check into your eco-lodge nestled along the riverbank. Spend the afternoon acquainting yourself with the village’s rhythms, meeting residents, and learning about their traditions. Enjoy an evening of local cuisine and cultural performances.
Forest Trek to Nieuw Aurora & Boat to Botopasi 🥾
After breakfast, trek through the rainforest to Nieuw Aurora, guided by experts sharing knowledge of the flora and fauna.
From there, boat to Pikinslee to explore the Maroon Museum, then continue to Botopasi Lodge for an evening of relaxation by the river.
Botopasi Exploration & Transfer to Kumalu 🛥️
Morning brings a village walk in Botopasi, offering insights into local life. Later, a boat ride takes you to Kumalu Dream Island.
Upon arrival, tour the village and, as night falls, embark on a boat trip to witness the bioluminescent wonders of the Grandam.

Rainforest Expeditions & Adventure
Embark on an invigorating hike up Ananasberg (Pineapple Mountain), immersing yourself in the lush rainforest and enjoying panoramic views from the summit; later, unwind with a refreshing swim at the picturesque Tapawatra Rapids.
Day 5 offers a cultural immersion in the villages in Kumalu, where you’ll engage with local traditions before returning to Paramaribo, and then on to JAP International Airport, enriched by the diverse experiences of Suriname’s interior.

Suriname, you impressed me. I didn’t know what to aspect but I had always been curious about this country.
A country with a lot of beautiful nature and a lot of different culture and most of all a huge history. We made a trip to the jungle with our guide and our private driver and cook. And what a cook he is! 😍 Every morning we woke up to the beautiful surprise of his very huge and tasty breakfast!! Benny’s Culinary Magic: A Foodie’s Dream Come True - If I had to name one unexpected highlight of this trip, it would be the food. And that’s all thanks to Benny, our head chef and culinary wizard. Every meal was an explosion of flavors, unlike anything I had ever tasted before. His Cassava soup with coconut milk? Rich, creamy, and pure comfort in a bowl. His Ja Zeker? A dish I had never even heard of before this trip, but now I’m obsessed.
