Embark on exhilarating journeys through Suriname’s wild landscapes, from dense jungles to rushing rapids and hidden waterfalls.
Experience a unique blend of Indigenous, African, Dutch, and Asian influences through historic sites, vibrant festivals, and local communities.
Spot sloths hanging lazily in the canopy, listen to the call of howler monkeys at dawn, and if you’re lucky witness the jaguar on the banks of the Suriname river.
Day 1: Into the Wilderness – Arrival & Night River Expedition
From Paramaribo, we travel by bus to Atjoni, where we transfer to a traditional wooden boat (korjaal) and sail toward Kumalu Dream Island. Upon arrival, we enjoy a delicious evening meal before embarking on a night-time river expedition deeper into the jungle.
Along the way, we listen to the sounds of the rainforest, observe nocturnal wildlife, and admire the starlit sky.
At our overnight location, we set up a simple hammock camp, falling asleep to the natural symphony of the Amazon.
Day 2: Living Off the Land – Jungle Survival & Fishing Experience
After a refreshing morning swim in the river, we prepare a fresh breakfast over an open fire.
Guided by an experienced local, we trek through the jungle, learning about the rich flora and fauna of the region while spotting wildlife such as monkeys, birds, snakes, and caimans.
Back at camp, you’ll have the opportunity to catch your own fish using traditional techniques before cooking your meal over the campfire.
Sleep in hammocks under the stars, wake up to the sounds of nature, and learn survival skills as you cook over an open fire and fish for your own meal.

Reservoir, then hike to hidden waterfalls for a refreshing swim before returning to Paramaribo, enriched by the beauty and adventure of the Surinamese wilderness.
Day 3: Brownsberg Adventure – Reaching New Heights 
A Trek to the Clouds….Early in the morning, after a hearty breakfast, we travel back to Atjoni and continue by bus to Brownsberg, the next stage of our adventure.
The drive to the summit is an exhilarating climb along rugged, unpaved roads.
Upon arrival, we explore the mountain plateau, stretch our legs, and rest in preparation for the next day’s jungle trek.
Sunrise at Mazaroni Plateau & Hidden Waterfalls
We rise early to witness a spectacular sunrise from the Mazaroni Plateau, offering breathtaking views over the Brokopondo Reservoir and the surrounding rainforest.
After breakfast, we begin an adventurous jungle hike to the Leo and Irene waterfalls, where you can take a refreshing swim or relax beneath the cascading water.
Once everyone has enjoyed the experience, we hike back up the mountain and begin our return journey to Paramaribo.
