Day 1: Paramaribo Arrival & Warm Welcome
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at the airport, followed by a smooth transfer to your accommodation in Paramaribo.
Take time to settle in, refresh yourself, and prepare for the adventures ahead. Enjoy an evening at leisure, perhaps taking a sunset stroll through the city or relaxing at your stay.
Arrival at Kumalu Dream Island
Travel through a scenic boat journey from Atjoni to Kumalu Dream Island, a peaceful haven in the heart of the rainforest. Settle into your jungle accommodation, enjoy a warm welcome from your hosts, and prepare for the incredible hikes ahead.
🌲 Day 2: Ananasberg, Village Walk & Watersports
Start your day with a guided hike to Ananasberg, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the lush jungle canopy.
In the afternoon, visit a local Maroon village, interact with the community, and experience their traditions. End the day with a thrilling dip in the rapids or try your hand at water rafting and tubing.
🌱 Day 3: Hike to Hoko Mountain & Grandan Waterfall
Trek through dense rainforest trails to Hoko Mountain, where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking scenery.
Continue your journey to the mighty Grandan Waterfall, where the powerful cascades create a refreshing natural pool—perfect for a mid-hike swim.
Day 4: Brownsberg – Irene & Leoval Waterfalls
Travel to Brownsberg Nature Park, home to rich biodiversity and stunning vistas.
Trek through the jungle to visit the enchanting Irene and Leo waterfalls, listening to the calming sounds of nature as you refresh under the cool cascades.
The first four days of this adventure immerse you in the raw beauty of Suriname’s jungle, from the peaceful Kumalu Dream Island to the roaring Grandan Waterfall. You’ll trek through lush rainforests, visit hidden waterfalls, and interact with local Maroon communities.

🏆 Day 5: Voltzberg Expedition – Reaching Base Camp
Begin one of the most challenging and rewarding hikes of the tour. The trail to Voltzberg is a test of endurance, leading you through untouched jungle landscapes. Upon reaching the base camp, settle in for a night under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
🌋 Day 6: Summit Voltzberg & Return to Base
Rise early for the final ascent to the summit of Voltzberg. At the peak, you’ll experience a breathtaking 360-degree view of the rainforest—a truly unforgettable moment.
After taking in the scenery, begin your descent back to the base camp and prepare for the return journey.
Day 7: Journey Back to Paramaribo
After days of intense hiking, you’ll make your way back to civilization. Enjoy a well-deserved meal and reflect on the incredible adventure you’ve just completed before heading back to Paramaribo.
